We Pray with Her is a collective of young clergywomen and leaders from Methodist traditions that began out of the 2016 campaigns for president when, regardless of their own political leanings, a group of young clergywomen began writing daily devotions for Hillary Rodham Clinton, a fellow United Methodist and glass ceiling shatter-er. Shannon E. Sullivan was involved in the collective from the beginning and has been a contributing editor to two collections of devotions and prayers for all women who are in leadership.
Shannon E. Sullivan is a contributing writer for When Kids Ask Hard Questions, Volume 2, a volume informed by the upset of the pandemic on young people. She wrote a piece about religious privilege and raising children to celebrate religious difference. Her chapter is entitled “‘Who Is My Enemy?’ Interrupting Fear of the Other with Explicit Calls to Love.” Available now from Chalice Press.
